Questions about hosting a family member or visitor (June 10, 2020)

Questions have come up, understandably, about what we must do if we are hosting a family member or visitor from away who themselves must quarantine.

Please find below the current answer from the Health Department; which of course, as with everything else related to COVID-19, is subject to change at any time. But for now:

When travelers to Vermont who are under quarantine are staying with others in a home or lodging, the people hosting those travelers do not need to quarantine. If they are sharing space with others, people who are under quarantine should stay at least six feet from the people they are sharing the space with and are advised to wear a mask. Disinfect commonly touched surfaces. All should practice self-observation.
