Youth Tennis Lessons Give your child an early start to a sport for a lifetime! Campers will receive instruction and play drills, matches and fun all-camp games. Bring racquets, sneakers, water and a snack. Instructed by Jason Hammel, Saint Michael’s College Men’s Tennis Coach. Minimum 6, Maximum 12 per class. Horse Camp @ Livery Stables, Hinesburg Our camp philosophy is “learning by doing” and is appropriate for all level riders, beginners through advanced. The campers are encouraged to do their very best while feeling comfortable in a safe and non-competitive environment. The camp is on a working horse farm where kids take part in all aspects of "horse". Youth will learn the basics of horse care including how to groom, feed, lead and manage on foot as well as how to ride during a lesson daily. Lessons are English style, but we also incorporate bare back riding and trails. The camp week may include games on horseback, crafts, and other fun activities. Bring a snack, water bottle and boots with a heel. Campers must provide own transportation. Located at Livery Stables in Hinesburg with Director, Kim Johansen. Basketball Camp Campers will learn and practice basic fundamental skills each day. They will have fun with friendly games and competitions with an emphasis on teamwork and general knowledge of the game. Bring a snack and water bottle, and wear sunscreen. Participants will receive a t-shirt. Minimum 8, Maximum 25 Instructor: by Nicky Elderton. Redhawk Soccer Camp Join CVU varsity coach Stan Williams and other CVU soccer coaches and players for a fun week focused on a variety of age appropriate technical skills. However, the number one emphasis of the camp is fostering a love of the game of soccer! Campers will be divided by age groups and all participants will receive a ball and a t-shirt. Participants who plan to attend Part 2 in the afternoon will be taken to the school by a counselor. Please inform staff at check in. Field Hockey Camp This fun camp with Camp Instructor, Megan Maynard-Jacob is the perfect summer introduction to field hockey for beginners or a chance to practice skills for those who already play. Players must provide mouth guard, shin guards, and a full water bottle. Sticks are available if needed. Baseball Camp This camp will focus on fundamentals in all aspects of the game of baseball, including drills and activities to better their skills in hitting, fielding and pitching. Both of the instructors played college baseball and are currently coaching middle school and college programs respectively. This week long camp is meant for all little league aged players! Come join us for some fun!! Bring a snack and water bottle, and wear sunscreen. Maximum: 20 participants/session. Location: Shelburne Town Little League Field. Circus Skills Camp Come join us for Circus FUN! This exciting Circus Camp will focus on these skills: juggling (balls, clubs, rings and scarves), stilt-walking, unicycling, flower sticks, diabolo, balance skills, acrobatics and more! A creative way to learn or improve your circus skills. Please wear comfy clothes for movement and bring your smile and desire to try new things! Minimum 6, Maximum 12 Registration deadline: July 3, 2023 Dates: July 24 - 28 Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Cost: $360.00 Ages: 8-12 years old Location: Shelburne Town Gym Instructor: Rob Crites, a professional entertainer, circus performer and instructor.
Rocketry Camp Build, test, and launch solid propellant rockets that safely return by parachute. Learn the aerodynamics of rocket flight and create a six foot tall experimental rocket with your team. Campers will leave class with at least three rockets that they have launched and can launch again. Please bring a water bottle and snack each day. LEGO BRICQ Motion This fun camp is an exploration of forces and motion by testing design solutions. Kids modify their designs to get the optimum pull or push needed. Engineer change in the speed or direction of an object with a push or a pull. Create an obstacle course for a dog, build a spring launcher for a race car derby and make a Minifigure dance party!
