CPR / Courses

Shelburne Rescue is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site.  

We offer instruction of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic emergency medical care.  We offer a variety of courses, which can be catered to the needs of the requesting individual or organization.  Individuals who successfully complete the course will receive CPR certification cards valid for two years.  Our volunteer certified instructors require a minimum of three weeks notice in order to set up a course date and ensure sufficient enrollment.

CPR Training Site
Shelburne Rescue serves as an American HeartAssociation (AHA)Training Site under the Colchester Training Center for the instruction of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic recognition of medical emergencies.

 We offer courses depending on your needs or the needs of your organization. Course completion cards are valid for 2 years. All cards will issued electronically.

 As all of our Instructors are volunteers, we generally require at least 3 weeks advance notice to set up a course. We are not able to do 1-on-1 or last-minute classes. 

American Heart Association
CPR and First Aid 

Complete OnlineineCourses through AHA.  Skills check verification by Shelburne Rescue requires a printed certificate from www.onlineaha.org (Fees paid directly to AHA.This is separate from Skills Fees to Shelburne Rescue). Then call us at 985-5125 to sign-up for the skills session. Please bring a copy of the completion certificate with you, as well as the $40.00 fee. Exact change or a check only.

BLS for Healthcare Providers
Teaches the skills of CPR including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen, use of an AED and relief of FBAO in responsive and unresponsive victims. The course is targeted for individuals (such as EMTs, physicians, nurses, physical therapists and other allied health professionals) who work in a health care setting. 

Course length: 4 to 5 hours for initial, 2 to 3 hours for renewal.

Fee: $70.00 Initial and $60.00 Renewal
 

Heartsaver AED
Heartsaver AED teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR, relief of foreign-body, airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants, and how to use an automatic external defibrillator (AED); intended for lay responders such as firefighters, police, airline personnel, and employees in the workplace.
Course length: 3 to 5 hours

Fee: $60.00 Initial and Renewal
 
Heartsaver First Aid
This is intended for people who respond to emergencies in the workplace or community. Includes CPR/AED all levels.
Note: This course is available on a limited basis
Course length: 3 to 7 hours
The course duration may vary depending on number of students.
