Part of the Traffic Control/Traffic Management plan the contractor will be required to prepare and follow will include Temporary Pedestrian Access Routes (TPAR) so that bike/ped access is maintained in the same fashion as vehicular traffic. The Contractor will be required to maintain access to the Ti-Haul Trail at all times it reasonably can as well as on weekends and holidays.

The project is subject to the State of Vermont’s Construction General Permit (CGP) which regulates construction stormwater discharges, so Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) measures will be implemented. This includes silt fence, mulching, and other erosion control measures, as well as regular sweeping and application of water or calcium chloride to control dust. In areas with sensitive environmental features, temporary fencing will be used to delineate approved work areas. Additionally, VTrans best management practices for control of invasive species will be implemented.

There will likely be brief interruptions to gas service since several section of the Vermont Gas System’s natural gas main will need to be relocated. Residents will be informed of this ahead of time and interruptions will be brief. Interruptions to water, electric, or cable/internet service are not anticipated.
